The writer is currently in negotiations with Alcon Productions to work on a screenplay turned in by original <strong>Blade Runner<\/strong> writer Hampton Fancher.<\/p>\n<p>Green has a number of genre credits to his name including working on an in-development version of <strong>The Flash<\/strong> comic book adaptation for Warner Brothers and a Fantastic Four reboot for Fox. More recently he had worked on a draft of Steven Spielberg&#8217;s just-shelved science-fiction epic <strong>Robopocalypse<\/strong> and Spielberg&#8217;s Moses biopic <strong>Gods And Kings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The film&#8217;s plot remains under heavy guard, with the only thing known is that it takes place years after the 1982 original film which starred Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer.<\/p>\n<p>I know that the thought of someone who was involved with the <strong>Green Lantern<\/strong> film might cause concern among some folks. But I would contend that the screenplay was the least of that film&#8217;s problems and his draft might not even be responsible for what problems the final film&#8217;s screenplay did have.
