Once bit of casting that won&#8217;t be happening will be Saoirse Ronan stepping into the red boots and cape of the Scarlett Witch.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iftn.ie\/actors\/actorsnews\/?act1=record&amp;only=1&amp;aid=73&amp;rid=4286273&amp;tpl=archnews&amp;force=1\" target=\"_blank\">IFTN<\/a>, the actress dispelled the rumors that had been circulating that she was set to play the character in the upcoming sequel &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Is there any truth to rumours that Joss Whedon has you in mind for a part in &#8216;The Avengers 2&#8217; as the Scarlet Witch?<\/strong><br \/>\nThat\u2019s not happening, no! I think that was just one of those little rumours floating about.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, I guess that&#8217;s that.
