{"id":29551,"date":"2013-07-22T09:09:59","date_gmt":"2013-07-22T13:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=29551"},"modified":"2014-03-10T11:24:27","modified_gmt":"2014-03-10T15:24:27","slug":"super-troopers-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2013\/07\/22\/super-troopers-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Is SUPER TROOPERS 2 Finally Shooting This Year?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/SuperTroopers2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29552\" alt=\"SuperTroopers2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/SuperTroopers2.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/SuperTroopers2.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/SuperTroopers2-300x124.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After many years of delays, it appears as if comedy group Broken Lizard will finally be filming the long-awaited sequel to their 2001 hit <strong>Super Troopers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Troop members Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan were interviewed last Friday by Portland, OR&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130822101143\/http:\/\/www.kxl.com\/07\/19\/13\/Broken-Lizard-Confirms-Super-Troopers-2\/landing_mobile.html?blockID=701809&amp;feedID=10528\" target=\"_blank\">KXL radio<\/a> in advance of a stand-up appearance in town that evening and Heffernan confirmed that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2012\/03\/12\/super-troopers-2-script-is-ready-to-go-waiting-on-a-legal-thing\/\" target=\"_blank\">previously reported legal matters<\/a> that had been holding up the project appear to have been cleared away by saying &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We just sealed the deal with Fox, who owns the rights. The script is written, and later in the year we\u2019ll do the shooting.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This goes hand in hand with what the group posted the day before on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/therealbrokenlizard\/posts\/10151742670811321\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook page<\/a> about having had completed a &#8220;fun writing session,&#8221; including the following Vine video revealing what they were working on.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/vine.co\/v\/hm5ztUiMgK6\/embed\/simple\" height=\"550\" width=\"550\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><script charset=\"utf-8\" type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/platform.vine.co\/static\/scripts\/embed.js\" async=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>So presumably, this was one last polish before shooting begins later this year. Perhaps.
