That quote was read by Harry Lennix at San Diego Comic Con after Zach Snyder announced that Batman\/Superman <\/strong>would be the next superhero film from Warner Brothers. It was taken from Frank Miller’s seminal The Dark Knight Returns <\/strong>which leads one to believe that the comic will influence the forthcoming film. But the comic might influence the film more than the quote indicates.<\/p>\n

The Independent<\/a> is quoting a source close to Frank Miller who says that Snyder will be meeting with the writer to “go over plans for the Superman film.”<\/p>\n

This would not be the first time Miller has been rumored to be involved in making a DC comic film. Back in 2012<\/a>, the idea of Miller taking over the Justice League<\/strong> was floated to in comic shops to get some ground level feedback.<\/p>\n

Of course, we should take this rumor with a grain of salt. Yes, Snyder made a name for himself in bringing Miller’s 300 <\/strong>to the big screen and he made a point of quoting a comic of Miller’s in the SDCC announcement. But this is coming from a UK news outlet, not the most reliable source of information. Don’t forget, it was another UK news outlet that said Karen Gillan was definitely playing Angela in<\/a> Guardians of the Galaxy<\/strong> and she obviously is not.<\/p>\n

Even if it is true, it doesn’t mean that Miller will be a major creative force in the film. Snyder could be just using him as a sounding board. We’ll see.<\/p>\n
