Disney is delaying the summer 2015 scheduled release set for the fifth installment of their popular Pirates Of The Caribbean<\/strong> franchise Dead Men Tell No Tales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> is quoting sources that the studio has pushed back the start of production on the film, which would move the film’s release from its initially announced July 10, 2015 release date to sometime the following year.<\/p>\n

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer explained to the Reporter<\/em> the reason for the delay was done to script issues. “We have an outline everyone loves but the script is not done.”<\/p>\n

Bruckheimer went on to explain that while the film’s potential price tag also played a factor in the delay, stating “It\u2019s all a factor. We want a script that everyone\u2019s signed off on and a budget that everyone\u2019s signed off on.” With cameras expected to start rolling in March, the decision had to have been made now before too much money was already spent on pre-production.<\/p>\n

This probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise, considering that following the giant egg that the Bruckheimer-produced The Lone Ranger<\/strong> laid at the box office this summer Disney was reportedly putting the producer on a shorter lease. I would hazard a guess that this is more Disney’s decision than Bruckheimer’s. <\/p>\n

The move makes Pirates 5<\/strong> the first film to move off of the current 2015 schedule, which was looking pretty crowded with highly anticipated films such as Star Wars: Episode VII<\/strong>, The Avengers: Age Of Ultron<\/strong>, Pixar’s Inside Out<\/strong>, Batman Vs Superman<\/strong>, a new Terminator<\/strong> film and more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
