It is the holiday present that film geeks with a penchant for wanting to read screenplays wait for every year – studios placing online the scripts that they hope will be nominated either one of the Best Screenplay categories for the Academy Awards. The first round of nominations may only be open to the members of the writing branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, but anyone can go to the studios’ “For Your Consideration” websites and download the screenplays for their own perusal. As some hopeful films are still to be released over the next couple of weeks, their screenplays have been held back, so we will update this list as they become available. In the meantime, enjoy.<\/p>\n
