Pegg has been cast in Terry Jones&#8217;s upcoming animated science-fiction comedy <strong>Almost Anything<\/strong>. Unfortunately, it looks as if he is replacing Cumberbatch. That is how we are interpreting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.screendaily.com\/news\/simon-pegg-joins-pythons-in-sci-fi-comedy\/5064593.article?blocktitle=LATEST-FILM-NEWS&amp;contentID=40562\" target=\"_blank\">Screen Daily<\/a>&#8216;s report on Pegg&#8217;s casting, which is tellingly Cumberbatch-mention free.<\/p>\n<p>Pegg is reportedly taking on the lead role of a teacher who is given magic-like powers by aliens. If the quote he gives for the story is any indication, Pegg is very excited to be part of the project &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry was a gift. Meeting your heroes is one thing \u2013 working with them is something else.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jones has turned the project into an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/07\/arterton-and-cumberbatch-will-do-absolutely-anything-for-terry-jones\/\" target=\"_blank\">almost Monty Python reunion<\/a>, casting his former <em>Flying Circus<\/em> castmates John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin in the film as well.
