Since the unexpected and untimely death of Heath Ledger, a few weeks ago, there has been much speculation as what will happen to the film he was in the middle of working on- Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Group think held that the portions of Ledger’s part that needed to be finished \u2013 during which he has fallen through a magic mirror into a realm that is a reflection of his own psyche \u2013 would be done so by with a different actor, the change being explained as just another aspect of the magical realm. Think of it is as a device similar to the one used in the Bob Dylan bio-pic I’m Not There<\/strong>, but magically motivated.<\/p>\n

Now AintItCool News<\/a> is reporting that not one, but three actors have been selected by Gilliam to complete Ledger\u2019s work- Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell.<\/p>\n

If true, there’s been no official confirmation yet, this is exciting news. Depp worked with Gilliam before, on Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas<\/strong> and again on the aborted production The Man Who Killed Don Quixote<\/strong>, so it is great to see that the two could be working together again. Law and Farrell are both capable of delivering strong performances, provided that they are given material that rises above their need to coast on just their good looks.<\/p>\n
