{"id":31774,"date":"2013-12-21T05:17:12","date_gmt":"2013-12-21T10:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=31774"},"modified":"2018-12-08T23:21:17","modified_gmt":"2018-12-09T04:21:17","slug":"anna-paquins-rogue-cut-from-x-men-days-of-future-past","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2013\/12\/21\/anna-paquins-rogue-cut-from-x-men-days-of-future-past\/","title":{"rendered":"Anna Paquin&#8217;s Rogue Cut From X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/X-MEN-ROGUE.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-31775\" alt=\"XMen3-51R\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/X-MEN-ROGUE-550x411.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"411\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First, Entertainment Weekly broke the story that Shailine Woodley&#8217;s Mary Jane Watson would be cut from <strong>The Amazing Spider-Man 2<\/strong>, now they are telling us that an original film X-Man will spend the next film on the cutting room floor.<\/p>\n<p>Bryan Singer spoke exclusively with the entertainment magazine and told them that a rescue sequence featuring Anna Paquin&#8217;s Rogue, Shawn Ashmore&#8217;s Iceman, Ian McKellen&#8217;s Magneto and Patrick Stewart&#8217;s Professor Xavier has been cut from <strong>X-Men: Days of Future Past<\/strong>, and, unfortunately, this was Paquin&#8217;s only scene in the film.<\/p>\n<p>The cut had nothing to do with Paquin (&#8220;She was awesome in the sequence. She\u2019s a brilliant actress.\u00a0I would work with her in a heartbeat,\u201d said Singer) and a lot to do will cutting unnecessary scenes to keep the film&#8217;s run time down. Singer said that the deleted scene would likely end up on the bonus features of the film&#8217;s home video release.<\/p>\n<p>This would alleviate the need to explain how Rogue, who had her powers taken away in\u00a0<strong>X-Men: The Last Stand<\/strong>, got her powers back.
