In an absolutely unsurprising move, Warner Brothers pulled their upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice<\/strong> off of the ay, 2016 weekend it was sharing on the release schedule with Marvel Studios’ Captain America 3<\/strong>, bringing it forward a few weeks to March 25, 2016.<\/p>\n

But in an absolutely surprising move, Warners did announce another nine dates for as-yet-untitled DC Comics adaptations. Also, the studio staked two claims for other “Event Films” in the summer of 2018 and 2020.<\/p>\n

The schedule looks as follows –<\/p>\n

03\/25\/16 – Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice<\/strong>
\n08\/05\/16 – Untitled DC Film
\n06\/23\/17 – Untitled DC Film
\n11\/17\/17 – Untitled DC Film
\n03\/23\/18 – Untitled DC Film
\n07\/27\/18 – Untitled DC Film
\n11\/16\/18 – Untitled WB Event Film
\n04\/05\/19 – Untitled DC Film
\n06\/14\/19 – Untitled DC Film
\n04\/03\/20 – Untitled DC Film
\n06\/19\/20 – Untitled DC Film

A quick look at the dates announced to the scheduled rumored back in June<\/a>, shows that things don’t quite match up in terms of exact weekends. But it does show that Warners is serious about getting DC Comic properties on to the big screen. Now if they would just start announcing some specific titles on specific dates.<\/p>\n

As for the two “Event Films,” there’s really nothing else to support any speculation as to what they may be, but I would go out on a limb and guess that perhaps they will be the first two installments of the studio’s plans to revisit the Harry Potter universe with a new spinoff series based on the in-Potter universe book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them<\/strong>.
