But no one could argue with the results &#8211; a stunningly beautiful looking film, perhaps the best the five decade long film series has seen. And it earned him his tenth Acacdemy Award nod. So it did come as a disappointment when it was announced that Deakins would not be rejoining <strong>Skyfall<\/strong> director Sam Mendes for the next, still untitled, Bond film due to a scheduling conflict with him shooting <strong>Hail, Caesar!<\/strong> for his long time collaborators the Coen Brothers.<\/p>\n<p>Mendes has now announced who will be filling Deakins sizable shoes &#8211; Dutch-Swedish cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema. While not quite a household name amongst film fans, his work certainly is. He first came to notice for his work on the original version of the vampire tale <strong>Let The Right One In<\/strong>. He also contributed equally stunning work on <strong>Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy<\/strong> and last year\u2019s <strong>Her<\/strong>. Most recently he filled in for Christopher Nolan&#8217;s long-time collaborator Wally Pfister for Nolan&#8217;s upcoming <strong>Interstellar<\/strong>.
