The group named Boyhood its Best Picture of 2014, as well as bestowing on the film their Best Director, Editing and Ensemble Cast awards. In addition to the award for Best Cinematography, <strong>Birdman<\/strong> took Best Actor and Supporting Actress wins for stars Michael Keaton and Emma Stone. <strong>Birdman<\/strong> and <strong>Boyhood<\/strong> shared the award for Best Screenplay.<\/p>\n<p>With both <strong>Birdman<\/strong> and <strong>Boyhood<\/strong> dominating last week&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2014\/12\/01\/new-york-film-critics-name-boyhood-best-film-of-2014\/\" target=\"_blank\">New York Film Critics Circle Awards<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2014\/12\/02\/inarritus-birdman-wins-big-at-gotham-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gotham Awards<\/a>, the two appear to be the big front runners as the Academy Award season starts to head into high gear.
