\"SonyLogo\"<\/a>Sony’s computer hacker woes continues into a third week as the hacker group calling itself Guardians Of Peace has released another dump of data stolen from the studio’s internal computer network online. The release onto torrent sites yesterday was accompanied with the warning “Stop immediately showing the movie of terrorism which can break the regional peace and cause the War!”<\/p>\n

The “movie of terrorism” referred to here is The Interview<\/strong>, in which James Franco and Seth Rogen portray a bumbling talk show host and his equally bumbling producer who are recruited by the CIA to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Initial speculation pointed to the possibility that North Korea was behind the vyber attack, either directly or indirectly. The government had expressed displeasure with the studio over the film twice before. Although the North Korean government denied their involvement in a statement released last week, although they did declare the action a \u201ca righteous deed of the supporters and sympathizers with\u201d the dictatorship and their country\u2019s ambition to \u201cput an end to U.S. imperialism.\u201d The fractured syntax in the statement released with this most recent document dump certainly points in their direction. Or at least it wants us to look that way. It is still possible that someone just wants us to think that North Korea is responsible.<\/p>\n

For their part, Sony seems to be unbowed by the threat with their plans to open The Interview<\/strong> on Christmas Day proceeding apace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
