Be it coincidence or homage or the outright hope that they don\u2019t get caught aping someone else\u2019s movie, filmmakers have been replicating the work of those who have gone before them for some time now. Every now and then we like to stop and point out one of those instances.*<\/em><\/p>\n

Kirk Cameron’s latest film, Kirk Cameron’s Surviving Christmas, recently made news for all the wrong reasons. Ranking at the bottom (Or is that the top?) of the IMDb’s Bottom 100<\/a> (beating out perennial stinkers Birdemic<\/strong>, The Hottie & The Nottie<\/strong>, Leonard, Part 6<\/strong> and more), the evangelical actor claimed that the film’s poor showing is due to an “atheist conspiracy.” While anyone with an IMDb account can rank any movie, it wouldn’t explain how the film has an 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, where one has to be vetted as a professional critic in order to have their reviews count in the ranking. I haven’t seen the film myself, but I dare say that perhaps one way to convince potential ticket buyers that your movie is probably not a stinker is to not copy your poster art from another infamous box office and critical dud.<\/p>\n
