It now has a second member of the cast signed aboard the voyage in the person of actor J. K. Simmons. He joins the previously signed Tom Hiddleston, who has already signed on for the voyage to the island home of the cinematic giant ape.<\/p>\n<p>Simmons is just rolling off a critically popular performance in the indie drama <strong>Whiplash<\/strong> and this is his first new role that he has booked since the film&#8217;s release.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/2014\/12\/jk-simmons-kong-skull-island-whiplash-1201325680\/\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a> is reporting the news, but there is no word as to who his character in <strong>Kong: Skull Island<\/strong> will be.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Vogt-Roberts will be directing from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein for a March 10, 2017 release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">He becomes the second cast member for the upcoming giant monster movie.<\/div>\n<p> <a class=\"mh-excerpt-more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2014\/12\/15\/j-k-simmons-signs-on-for-kong-skull-island\/\" title=\"J.
