And the newest member of the cast for that film has been announced &#8211; Kaya Scodelario.<\/p>\n<p>Producer Jerry Bruckheimer made the announcement via twitter &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Pleased to announce that we cast Kaya Scodelario for the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean. Talented young actor from Skins &amp; The Maze Runner.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; BRUCKHEIMER FILMS\/TV (@BRUCKHEIMERJB) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BRUCKHEIMERJB\/status\/559130718698500097?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 24, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The English actress was seen this past summer in the teen-lit adaption <strong>The Maze Runner<\/strong>. She&#8217;ll be joining Depp and franchise newcomer Brenton Thwaites when filming commences next month in Australia with Norwegian directors Joachim R\u00f8nning and Espen Sandberg behind the camera. There is no word as to what their characters will be.
