No writer has been selected yet for the project.<\/p>\n<p>While the original novel charted the descent into madness of a scientist as the result of an invisibility serum he created, Tracking Board is reporting that Sony&#8217;s take &#8220;will make the Invisible Man the villain of the film, with the audience following the hero that is tasked to hunt him down.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This makes the second film based on Wells&#8217; novel to be put into development. Universal Studios is also working on an <strong>Invisible Man<\/strong> film, but theirs is drawing from the studio&#8217;s own classic horror franchise and will be part of their planned interconnected series of monster films.
