{"id":35921,"date":"2015-05-05T21:19:06","date_gmt":"2015-05-06T01:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=35921"},"modified":"2018-12-05T00:08:59","modified_gmt":"2018-12-05T05:08:59","slug":"martin-freeman-joins-captain-america-3-cast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2015\/05\/05\/martin-freeman-joins-captain-america-3-cast\/","title":{"rendered":"Martin Freeman Joins CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 Cast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/MartinFreeman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/MartinFreeman-550x300.jpg\" alt=\"MartinFreeman\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-35922\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Martin Freeman is the latest actor to be joining Marvel&#8217;s <strong>Captain America: Civil War<\/strong>, which is currently shooting in Atlanta under the direction of <strong>Captain America: The Winter Soldier<\/strong> co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo.<\/p>\n<p>There is no word as to what character Freeman will be playing, but he will be joining Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes\/The Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Daniel Bruhl (Baron von Zemo) and an actor whom has yet to be named as Spider-Man.<\/p>\n<p>With such a cast, it is certainly seeming as if Civil War is shaping up to be a pretty much direct sequel from this past weekend&#8217;s <strong>The Avengers: Age Of Ultron<\/strong>. If anything it will serve as a good warm up for the two before they embark on the two-part <strong>Avengers: Infinity War<\/strong>, which should feature just about every person we&#8217;ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman&#8217;s arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe means that the actor could conceivably share screen time with his Sherlock co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, who was cast last year as the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange.
