Here’s a bit of a bummer. Both Michael Keaton and JK Simmons have been forced to drop out of Legendary Pictures’ Kong: Skull Island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Deadline<\/a>, the Oscar-nominated Keaton and the Oscar-winning Simmons both have scheduling problems due to the time-intensive project being pushed back from its original fall production start to later in the year. Star Tom Hiddleston is still attached however.<\/p>\n

Deadline is expected to recast the roles as soon as possible, with an eye towards not having to push back the start of production date any further. The film, which is set to be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from a script written by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, is set for a March 10, 2017 release, so there wouldn’t be much play in the schedule without having that moved back as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
