Back in April<\/a>, we reported that it was possible that Kevin Smith was looking at the Granite Run Mall in the Philadelphia suburb of Media as a possible shooting location for Mallrats 2<\/strong>, later renamed Mallbrats<\/strong>. A week or so later<\/a>, Philly.com managed to confirm that the director gad talks with the Mall management about shooting there. Today, Smith himself confirmed it with a Facebook post<\/a> showcasing himself, and daughter Harley, at the Mall.<\/p>\n

We should urge a note of caution though, as Smith does use the conditional “might.” According to its website<\/a>, the Granite Run Mall is closed and previous reportage had it that the Mall’s owners were looking to get the wrecking ball swinging on the structure this fall.
