Does scripter Christopher Yost have the power? The Thor: Ragnarok<\/strong> writer has been chosen by Sony to be the latest to attempt to deliver a screenplay that will finally get the popular toy turned cartoon series franchise, Masters Of The Universe<\/strong>, onto the big screen.<\/p>\n

Yost joins a long line of screenwriters who have tried to crack the property and turn it into a successful big screen franchise. Let’s face it, no one wants a repeat of the abysmal 1987 Dolph Lundgren-starring dud of a film. Previously the likes of Terry Rossio and Jeff Wadlow, Mike Finch and Alex Litvak, Justin Marks, Evan Daugherty, and Adam Rifkin have all worked on the project. Additionally, a number of directors have flirted with Masters Of The Universe<\/strong> including John Woo, John Stevenson and Jon M Chu. The project originally started off at Warner Brothers but moved to Sony in 2009.<\/p>\n

Based on the strength of his contribution to the original Thor<\/strong> film and a polish on the screenplay for 2013’s Thor: The Dark World<\/strong>, Marvel picked Yost to pen the upcoming \u201cThor: Ragnarok\u201d with Craig Kyle.<\/p>\n
