{"id":37848,"date":"2016-02-11T14:07:43","date_gmt":"2016-02-11T19:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=37848"},"modified":"2016-02-11T14:14:20","modified_gmt":"2016-02-11T19:14:20","slug":"danny-mcbride-boarding-alien-covenant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2016\/02\/11\/danny-mcbride-boarding-alien-covenant\/","title":{"rendered":"Danny McBride Boarding ALIEN: COVENANT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/danny-mcbride.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-37849\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-mh-magazine-content wp-image-37849\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/danny-mcbride-678x380.jpg\" alt=\"danny-mcbride\" width=\"678\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Danny Bride is in early talks to appear in Ridley Scott&#8217;s Prometheus follow-up <strong>Alien: Covenant<\/strong>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/danny-mcbride-to-join-michael-fassbender-in-ridley-scotts-alien-covenant-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Wrap<\/a> is reporting that the star of HBO&#8217;s <em>Eastbound &amp; Down<\/em> is going to be joining the cast of the science-fiction film.<\/p>\n<p>If the negotiations are successful, McBride will be joining Michael Fassbender, who will be reprising his role from <strong>Prometheus<\/strong>, and new comer to the franchise Katherine Waterston.<\/p>\n<p>Presumably, McBride will be a member of the crew of the titular spaceship <em>Covenant<\/em>, who discover a planet that they think is a paradise but actually harbors a dark secret. And since this is an <strong>Alien<\/strong> franchise film, I think you can guess what that secret may involve.<\/p>\n<p>McBride is an interesting choice, even if we don&#8217;t know what role he will be playing. He normally plays very broad comic characters, ones that would feel very out of place in the <strong>Alien<\/strong> franchise.
