A new Predator<\/strong> film has been in development for a while, but it is looking as if things are heating on the project. On the franchise’s official Facebook page<\/a>, the following image just appeared a few hours ago –<\/p>\n

Now combine that with the fact that Fred Dekker, the screenwriter most recently assigned to write a script that would revive the franchise, postedt he following on his own Facebook page<\/a> last week –<\/p>\n

It certainly looks as if 20th Century Fox is moving forward with the screenplay that Dekker has turned in last November<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Currently, Iron Man 3<\/strong> director Shane Black is set to direct this new Predator iteration, and Black and Dekker (yes, I realize what I did there) collaborated on the 1980s cult classic The Monster Squad<\/strong>. It has been six years since we last saw the alien hunters onscreen in Predators<\/strong>, a film I think is more than a bit underrated. And while audiences may not have been all too eager to see a Predator<\/strong> movie than, has their appetite for one grown over the last half decade?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

The studio is starting to hint that they may be getting ready to start shooting the alien hunters’ return to the big screen.<\/div>\n
