Let’s start off our weekend a little early with two ladies for whom every day is the weekend. Patsy and Eddie are back, making the jump from the small to the big screen in this first teaser trailer for the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie<\/strong>. It really doesn’t give us any hint about the film itself, but seeing as how it had been in development for years, its mere existence as proof that the movie is actually a reality must generate excitement for fans.<\/p>\n

According to Variety<\/a>, the will follow the two in their usual routine of “shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London\u2019s trendiest hot spots until they\u2019re blamed for a major incident at a launch party, become entangled in a media storm and flee penniless to the Cote d\u2019Azur.”<\/p>\n

In addition to stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, series regulars Julia Sawalha, June Whitfield and Jane Horrocks will also appear in the film. Ab Fab TV series director Mandie Fletcher is assuming the same duties for the film.<\/p>\n

There is no scheduled date for the film, though presumably Fox Searchlight won’t be sitting on it for too long.<\/p>\n
