{"id":37988,"date":"2016-02-23T18:28:53","date_gmt":"2016-02-23T23:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=37988"},"modified":"2016-02-23T18:28:53","modified_gmt":"2016-02-23T23:28:53","slug":"ava-duvernay-a-wrinkle-in-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2016\/02\/23\/ava-duvernay-a-wrinkle-in-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Ava DuVernay To Direct A WRINKLE IN TIME"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wrinkle-in-time.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-37989\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/wrinkle-in-time-678x381.jpg\" alt=\"wrinkle-in-time\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" class=\"aligncenter size-mh-magazine-content wp-image-37989\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A year and a day after her film <strong>Selma<\/strong> was beaten out at the Academy Awards for Best Picture, director Ava DuVernay has finally lined up her next project. <a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/2016\/02\/ava-duvernay-a-wrinkle-in-time-disney-madeleine-lengle-1201707452\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Deadline<\/a> is reporting that DuVernay will be directing <strong>A Wrinkle In Time<\/strong>, an adaptation of the classic young adult fantasy novel by Madeleine L\u2019Engle, for Disney.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Deadline is reporting that DuVernay also has an offer to direct <strong>Intelligent Life<\/strong>, a science-fiction thriller at Dreamworks written by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow and his writing partner Derek Connolly, and is in negotiations for an untitled film starring Lupita Nyong\u2019o as a United Nations worker &#8220;in a department designed to represent mankind if there was ever contact with aliens, who falls for a mystery woman who turns out to be one.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Deadline points out that it is not clear as to which of the three projects will shoot first, but since the other two deals aren&#8217;t closed yet, it most likely will be <strong>A Wrinkle In Time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Engle&#8217;s book, which won the prestigious Newbury Medal, tells the story of a girl whose search for her missing scientist father takes her on a trip across space and other dimensions.
