Previously, Beall had been one of two screenwriters who were developing separate takes on the character for the studio. When <strong>The Conjuring<\/strong> director James Wan began to circle the project late last year, he brought along his own screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson. Beall then went off to write and executive produce a TV pilot based on the police drama <strong>Training Day<\/strong> for CBS.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, the Reporter states that the studio set aside all of the story development that had been do so far, leaving Wan and DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns to hammer out a new story for the film. It is this new outline that Beall will be working from.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Momoa is to star as the half-human, half-Atlantean King of the Seven Seas. He has already made a cameo appearance in last spring&#8217;s <strong>Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice<\/strong> and will have a more substantial role in next year&#8217;s <strong>Justice League<\/strong>.
