Even though its release is a little more than three months away, Warner Brothers is officially announcing that work has begun on a sequel to November’s Fantastic Beasts An Where To Find Them<\/strong>. It really is a no-brainer as the film-only prequel to J. K. Rowling’s phenomenally popular Harry Potter<\/em> books and subsequent film adaptations make the movie one of the most anticipated of the Fall. Warners is bringing back director David Yates to oversee the new film with Rowling once again providing the screenplay.<\/p>\n

Here’s the press release which contains the first hit as to where the story may be going. <\/p>\n

As anticipation builds for the November 18th release of Warner Bros. Pictures\u2019 adventure \u201cFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,\u201d the Studio has announced plans to return to J.K. Rowling\u2019s Wizarding World for the next film in the series, slated for worldwide release on November 16, 2018. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.<\/p>\n

Wizarding world creator J.K. Rowling, who made her screenwriting debut on the first film, is scripting the sequel. <\/p>\n

The second \u201cFantastic Beasts\u201d movie moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances.<\/p>\n

Director David Yates (the final four \u201cHarry Potter\u201d films) will again take the helm, having recently completed work on \u201cFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.\u201d The new film will also reunite producers David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Neil Blair, Rick Senat and Danny Cohen will serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
