Marvel Studios likes to keep their secrets about their superhero films. But sometimes those secrets slip out courtesy of actors who say a bit more than than they should. Today’s example is that comes to us courtesy of Sam Neill, who just admitted that he will have a small role in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking with ShortList<\/a>, the actor confirmed that he will appear in the superhero threequel, though he was mum as to the exact nature of who he might be playing.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not really allowed to say this and I can\u2019t tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor<\/strong> just before I came over here. I had to sign all sorts of things that if I say anything else, Marvel\u2019s secret agents \u2014 and they are lethal \u2014 will come and get me and probably my children, as well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thor: Ragnarok<\/strong> will find the titular Norse god of thunder (Chris Hemsworth) traveling across the cosmos with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) for an as yet unknown reason. Odds are that reason may include some of the plot threads left dangling at the end of the last Thor<\/strong> film, The Dark World<\/strong>, and may intersect with the the building Thanos\/Infinity Gauntlet plotline that is assumed will be building up steam through Marvel’s “Phase Three” films.<\/p>\n

Neill got the role, whatever it happens to be, thanks to his appearing in Thor: Ragnarok<\/strong> director Taika Waititi’s previous film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople<\/strong>. We’ll have to wait and see if this will also mark an onscreen reunion between Neill and his Jurassic Park<\/strong> co-star Jeff Goldblum, who is in Ragnarok<\/strong> as the cosmic being known as the Gamesmaster.<\/p>\n

The actor later took to Twitter to tongue-in-cheekly walk back his comments –<\/p>\n
