The two were well known for the path the carved through high society in the 1920s, leading her husband to bestow on her the title of &#8220;the first American flapper.&#8221; Of course, that path led to alcoholism for the both of them. The couple&#8217;s problems were further exacerbated by Zelda&#8217;s descent into mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>Howard is currently only developing the project as a producer, but he reportedly has an eye on directing the project.
