\"\"Being that X-Men: New Mutants <\/strong>deals with a class of young mutant students at the Xavier School, you’d have to believe Professor Xavier will be in it someway, somehow. But will James McAvoy return to the role? After reading Coming Soon’s interview with Anya Taylor-Joy <\/a>you’ll know…just about the same\u00a0as you did before.<\/p>\n

Taylor-Joy is making the press\u00a0rounds to promote Split<\/strong>, the M. Night Shyamalan film in which she costars with McAvoy. The interview eventually turns to X-Men: New Mutants<\/strong>, and she is asked if she\u00a0hopes to reunite with McAvoy in the mutant film. She answered:<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I think James is already a part of it, isn\u2019t he?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, call me a cynical, beat-down-by-the-world old man who can’t take anything at face value, but that doesn’t seem like a definite confirmation of McAvoy’s involvement in the film. It sounds like she thinks he might be in it, but isn’t sure.<\/p>\n
