Deadpool <\/strong>continues to amaze this awards season. First, it received a Golden Globe nod <\/a>for Best Picture-Musical or Comedy, then a Writer’s Guild nomination<\/a>, and now it is nominated by the Producer’s Guild for its Darryl F. Zanuck Award. It beat out favorites such as Silence<\/strong>, Loving <\/strong>and Nocturnal Animals\u00a0<\/strong>for a spot on the nominations list.<\/p>\n

The Darryl F. Zanuck Award has become a good indicator for what films will be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar due its voting system and voter make up being\u00a0similar to the Oscar’s.\u00a0However, this does not mean that Deadpool\u00a0<\/strong>is a lock for the Oscar nod. The Producer’s Guild nominates ten films for\u00a0its award each year, and the Oscars nominated anywhere from 5 to 10\u00a0films for Best Picture.<\/p>\n

We’ll find out if Deadpool <\/strong>gets an Oscar nod on January 24th\u00a0when the Oscar nods are announced. Until then, here are the other films the Producer’s Guild has nominated this year:<\/p>\n
