The Last Knight<\/strong>, the fifth film in the Transformers<\/strong> also marks director Michael Bay’s last installment. Or so he says. He has said in the past that he was done with the toy-based science-fiction series before. But if this is indeed his last film, it looks like he might be going out on a high note. The 30-second spot for the film that premiered today during the Super Bowl as well as the Extended Version of the commercial released online certainly suggests some world-shaking action with the glimpse we get of some sort of giant, possibly continent-sized, ship emerging from the clouds. Of course, last summer’s Independence Day: Resurgence<\/strong> also featured a similarly ridiculously large ship, so we’ll wait and see what Bay has in store. Hopefully it will be something better, but since I have not really liked any of the Transformers<\/strong> films in the series so far, I don’t have much faith that he’ll pull a good one of his hat now.<\/p>\n
