The Hollywood Reporter <\/a>has the exclusive news that Josh Brolin has landed the role of Cable in\u00a0Deadpool 2<\/strong> and for three other movies.<\/p>\n

Brolin’s casting marks the end of a tumultuous process of casting that saw names\u00a0ranging from Mel Gibson to Brad Pitt to Russell Crowe to Michael Shannon to Kyle Chandler to David Harbour linked to the role.<\/p>\n

This marks the second Marvel character on Brolin’s resume. He also plays Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is filming Avengers: Infinity War <\/strong>and its sequel as we speak.<\/p>\n

In addition, he has also played\u00a0title character in 2010’s Jonah Hex<\/strong>, the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K in 2012’s\u00a0Men in Black III<\/strong>, and Dwight\u00a0in 2014’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For<\/strong>. That many appearances in comic book films makes me wonder how many comics he has in his collection.<\/p>\n

The film is set to start production in June in Vancouver with no release date set as of yet.<\/p>\n
