The script from the newcomer writer headlined last year&#8217;s Black List, the industry survey of the most liked unproduced screenplays circulating in Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>The film looks at the early years of the pop icon, as Michigan-born Madonna Louise Ciccone struggles to start her music career in New York City in the early 1980s.
