Last summer’s Bad Moms <\/strong>was a surprise hit in a season usually dominated by superhero epics and other blockbuster films. And where there is a box office return of nine times what a film cost to make – And this case it’s Bad Moms<\/strong>‘ $183 million haul against a $20 million budget – there’s a sequel waiting to happen. And for Bad Moms that sequel just started production yesterday.<\/p>\n

A Bad Moms Christmas<\/strong> will see the return of Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn as the titular Amy, Kiki and Carla. And in addition to taking on the holiday season, they trio will also be dealing with visits from their own maternal units in the forms of Cheryl Hines (Kiki\u2019s mom), Christine Baranski (Amy\u2019s mom) and Susan Sarandon (Carla\u2019s mom).<\/p>\n

Here’s the studio’s official synopsis.<\/p>\n

A Bad Moms Christmas<\/strong> follows our three under-appreciated and over-burdened women as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holidays for their families wasn\u2019t hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers. By the end of the journey, our moms will redefine how to make the holidays special for all and discover a closer relationship with their mothers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While I thought that the final act of the film was a bit underwhelming, I enjoyed the film overall. It was and a nice showcase for the comedic talents of its three leads. And the idea of bringing in another three funny ladies, only sweetens the pot for the sequel. <\/p>\n

Writers\/directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are back in charge for A Bad Moms Christmas<\/strong>, working to get it ready for a November 3 release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
