Kevin Smith has just started production on a new horror anthology film, Killroy Was Here <\/strong>n As the writer\/director explains in the Facebook post below, the film was first written several years back under the title Comes The Krampus<\/strong>. But after a similar titled film beat his idea to the theaters, he shelved the screenplay until recently when he realized a quick rewrite of its framing device could still make it viable.<\/p>\n

While I would consider myself an old school Kevin Smith fan, I have been a bit disappointed with his output of late. Clerks II<\/strong> (2006) and his first attempt at horror Red State<\/strong> (2011) were probably his last two solid films. His more recent forays into the genre – Tusk<\/strong> (2014) and Yoga Hosers<\/strong> (2016) each had their problems and are hard to recommend. Will this be stronger because Smith originally wrote back during a creatively better time for him?<\/p>\n

We’ll see.<\/p>\n
