Quentin Tarantino is busily prepping his next film which reportedly will in part be focused on the infamous murder of actress Sharon Tate by members of the Charlie Manson cult.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> is stating that the Hateful Eight<\/strong> writer\/director is in the process of putting the finishing touches on a screenplay and starting to meet with A-List actors about the project, which they claim will be a “unique take on the Manson Family murders.”<\/p>\n

Script details are fuzzy but one of the stories centers on Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Among the A-listers that Tarantino is reportedly meeting with are Brad Pitt, who starred Tarantino’s war film Inglorious Basterds<\/strong>, and Jennifer Lawrence. The Reporter is quick to point out that a source is telling them that Lawrence is not being looked at for the Sharon Tate role however. We are wondering if that means she could possibly be under consideration to play a number of the women who were Manson’s circle including Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, Mary Brunner, Susan Atkins or Leslie Van Houten.<\/p>\n

Tarantino’s plan is to have a package of script and stars ready to take out to studios to secure a co-financing\/co-distribution deal. Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have produced and executive produced all of Tarantinos’ previous films, are already involved.
