At the end of every James Bond film is the promise “James Bond Will Return.” And now we know when he’ll return as Eon Productions and MGM has announced that November 8, 2019 will be the date that they release the next Bond film into theaters. As of now, the only other project currently on the release schedule on that date is an untitled Disney fairy tale movie.<\/p>\n

There’s just a few things missing from the announcement that seem like crucial information. Absent from the announcement is any mention of current Bond franchise star Daniel Craig’s name, any hint as to who may be directing the film and who may be distributing the film. <\/p>\n

Craig has been outspoken about his role in the franchise at times, leading to rumors springing up between his installments that he would not be back for the next one. The Hollywood Reporter states that Eon will be making a separate announcement as to casting at a later date, but gave no further indication beyond that. <\/p>\n

MGM and Eon have been looking for a partner studio to help fund and distribute the upcoming film. They were previously partnered with Sony for the previous four entries and reportedly Sony is one of the contenders for the next deal that Eon is setting up. They will have some stiff competition from Warner Brothers who are also making a strong case to Eon for partnering.<\/p>\n

What is known is that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are on screenwriting duties. Previouslyt,h e pair have worked on Craig’s previous four Bond entries – Casino Royale<\/strong>, Quantum Of Solace<\/strong>, Skyfall<\/strong> and Spectre<\/strong>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
