The actress who launched her career in the horror classics Halloween (1978) and <strong>Halloween II<\/strong> (1981), will be returning for the upcoming latest installment of the iconic franchise, titled simply <strong>Halloween<\/strong>. The two are both better known for comedy, including their HBO series <strong>Eastbound &#038; Down<\/strong>. They certainly don&#8217;t seem the likeliest creatives to be reviving the venerable horror series. But last February when the two were announced as being the ones to revive the <strong>Halloween<\/strong> series, franchise creator director John Carpenter sounded enthusiastic about what the two want to bring to the screen.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>David and Danny both came to my office recently with Jason Blum and shared their vision for the new movie and \u2026 WOW. They get it. I think you&#8217;re gonna dig it. They blew me away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Horror reboots have not had the best track record over the last several years with attempts to revive the <strong>Friday The 13th <\/strong>and <strong>Nightmare On Elm Street<\/strong> series meeting with both critical and fan apathy. And it would be tempting to think that this could conceivably go the same way too.
