\"\"Deadline<\/a> reported in September that Moore has partnered with\u00a0Professor Marston and the Wonder Women\u00a0<\/strong>director Angela Robinson to bring his magnum opus to the big screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cAngela and I have known each other for years and I greatly admire her creative vision.\u201d said Moore. \u201cFrom day one our common goal was to bring\u00a0Strangers In Paradise\u00a0<\/strong>to the screen. It\u2019s a complex story that took years to write and Angela gets it on every level. I can\u2019t wait to get started.\u201d<\/p>\n

Strangers in Paradise\u00a0<\/strong>is one of my favorite comics of all time. It was the best thing to come out of the morass that was comic books in the 1990s. This is how I described the series when I recommended it as a potential Rated R comic book adaptation back in February of 2016<\/a>:<\/p>\n

[Strangers in Paradise<\/strong>] follows a pair of life long friends, Francine and \u201cKatchoo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Francine\u2019s self-esteem issues lead her to bad relationships with men. Katchoo wishes Franchine would get into a relationship with her. Enter David, a man who lusts after Katchoo the way Katchoo lusts after Franchine. Unfortunately, David has ties to Katchoo\u2019s former life as a Mata Hari-like prostitute, where she was used to gain information and control over elected officials. When a Senator who was one of Katchoo\u2019s clients turns up dead, her past comes back to haunt her in a big way.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The property was optioned for film once before, but those rights reverted back to Moore. He will be restarting the comic book series in January of 2018.<\/p>\n
