A far cry from pretty-boy Harry Hamlin in the original. And from the looks of the two photos, it looks as if the new version under the direction of Louis Leterrier (<strong>Transporter 2<\/strong>, <strong>The Incredible Hulk<\/strong>) definitely will have a rougher edge than the 1981 version&#8217;s family-friendly adventure vibe.<\/p>\n<p>Now generally, a film is remade in part to cash in on the name recognition of the original with the public. The original version of <strong>Clash Of The Titans<\/strong> is probably best remembered for being the last film that special-effects guru Ray Harryhausen worked on. A gritty film more along the lines of Gladiator it is not, and if that&#8217;s the direction that Leterrier is heading, I think a lot of people are going to feel mislead when the film comes out next summer. Do you really see a mechanical, flying owl working in this new\u00a0version we&#8217;re glimpsing now?
