Want a sneak preview of what the acting categories for the Oscars will look like? Well, you’re in luck as the Screen Actors Guild, whose membership has a lot of carry over with the Academy, have just released their nominations for the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards.<\/p>\n
And if they are any indication, we have a line on what films will be mentioned when the Oscar nominations are announced on January 23rd. One will be\u00a0Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri<\/strong>, which garnered for SAG Awards nods–for Female Actor in a Leading Role for Oscar favorite Frances McDormand, two in Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, and the nomination in the Outstanding cast category.<\/p>\n That film’s main competition will be from\u00a0Lady Bird<\/strong>. That film was next in line with three nominations–Saoirse Ronan for Female Actor in a Leading Role, Laurie Metcalf for Female Actor in a Supporting Role and an Outstanding Cast nomination.<\/p>\n Other films with nominations in multiple categories include I, Tonya, <\/strong>The Shape of Water, Mudbound, The Big Sick <\/strong>and Get Out<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The awards will be given out on January 21, 2018.
