After months of rumors, it is being reported that Margot Robbie is in final negotiations to appear as murdered Hollywood actress Sharon Tate in director Quentin Tarantino\u2019s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood<\/strong>. Once she officially signs on, Robbie will be joining Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, who were announced as being part of the cast last month.<\/p>\n

Tarantino\u2019s film is set in the Los Angeles in the summer of 1969 and interweaves fictional characters such as the faded TV cowboy actor and his stunt double being played by DiCaprio and Pitt with real-life personages such as Tate. Although the film will deal with Tate\u2019s murder at the hands of members of the Charles Manson cult, there has been no official word that Tate\u2019s husband, film director Roman Polanski, will be a factor in the story. It is rumored that Tarantino is looking for an unknown European actor for the role, similar to how he brought German actor Christoph Waltz to American audiences’ attention with Inglorious Basterds<\/strong>. (And if looking forward an unknown European actor doesn\u2019t pan out for Tarantino, may we suggest Toby Jones for the part of Polanski?)<\/p>\n

Robbie\u2019s attention to the cast also makes the film the biggest star-studded lineup that Tarantino has yet to assemble for a film in his career. And that is before we find out if the rumors about Tom Cruise being considered for a role will pan out or not.<\/p>\n

Robbie is coming off an Academy Award nomination for her work in last year\u2019s dark comedy I, Tonya<\/strong>, where she portrayed controversial figure skater Tonya Harding. Her next screen appearance will be in the historical drama Mary, Queen Of Scots<\/strong>, opposite another of last year\u2019s Oscar nominee class, Saoirse Ronan.<\/p>\n

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood<\/strong> is set to start filming later this summer for an August 9, 2019 release date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
