The haunted house project has Paloma Baeza set to direct. Baeza comes from a background in animation having won both a BAFTA and Annie award for her short <strong>Poles Apart <\/strong>which featured the voice of Helena Bonham Carter.<\/p>\n<p>According to Variety &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Toymaker\u2019s Secret tells the story of an American family who moves into an old Victorian home in London and begins to believe that it might be haunted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The trade also notes that while Garland\u2019s most recent films \u2013 <strong>Ex Machina<\/strong> and <strong>Annihilation<\/strong> which he also directed \u2013 <strong>The Toymaker\u2019s Secret<\/strong> will be more \u201cfamily-focused\u201d than his adult-oriented science fiction features.<\/p>\n<p>Fans of the writer\/directors work should know that this looks like the only big screen project of his for the foreseeable future. Garland recently received a pilot order from FX for the series <em>Devs<\/em> which he had been developing.
