\"\"Wonder Woman 2\u00a0<\/strong>has begun production and to celebrate, we get presents! Namely, two images from the new film. And they are wasting no time in giving us spoilers.<\/p>\n

Since I have already been yelled at for giving spoilers to films that have been in release for more than two weeks, let me throw one of these up here:<\/p>\n

\"\" Okay, so proceed at your own risk.<\/p>\n

The first image comes to us from Gal Gadot, who also confirms that the sequel will be officially called\u00a0Wonder Woman 1984<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\"\"As you can see, it features Diana Prince in front a back of TV monitors. You can spot images of Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing in Dallas <\/strong>and Christie Brinkley from National Lampoon’s Vacation<\/strong>, two forms of media that are era appropriate and whose rights are owned by Warner Brothers.<\/p>\n

The image also calls to mind another 1984<\/strong>, George Orwell’s. That bank of monitors looks very “Big Brother” to me.<\/p>\n

Patty Jenkins supplied the next image, and here be the spoilers:<\/p>\n

\"\"Yes, that is Chris Pine, presumably as Steve Trevor,\u00a0 in a 1984-era shopping mall looking confused.<\/p>\n

Wait a minute! A military man named Steve fighting in a World War nobly sacrifices himself to destroy a plane a genocidal madman was going to use to kill millions of innocent people in an allied city, but instead of dying he finds himself flung far into the future to an unfamiliar world that he must come to terms with? Golly , that plot point seems awfully familiar, but I just can’t put the finger of my Captain America action figure on it.<\/p>\n

Now, since we know Chris Pine was in the cast, this isn’t THAT much of a spoiler. But we now know he won’t just be confined to flashbacks and will play a bigger part in the film’s narrative.<\/p>\n
