Book and comics adaptations are the norm on the big screen, with films based on such things as toy lines, video games, theme park rides and even phone apps becoming more prevalent as well. So why not a movie based on a twitter thread between two writers? Well, if we go by the trailer below for <strong>You Might Be The Killer<\/strong>, it doesn\u2019t seem like quite a bad idea at all.<\/p>\n<p>The film has its origins in a twitter conversation from July 2017 between fantasy authors Chuck Wendig and Sam Syke with the two goofing on summer camp slasher movie tropes. The end result now sees Alyson Hannigan and Fran Kranz \u2013 themselves no strangers to genre trope bending projects thanks to their work on various Joss Whedon joints \u2013 as two camp counselors dealing with a maniac who is carving up campers. <\/p>\n<p>Of course, this isn\u2019t the first time twitter has spun something off. In 2010 the comedy feed &#8220;Shit My Dad Says&#8221; was turned into the CBS sitcom <em>$#*! My Dad Says<\/em>, but that show didn\u2019t make it to a full season run.<\/p>\n<p>While it doesn\u2019t have a distributor yet, <strong>You Might Be The Killer<\/strong> premiers at the Fantastic Film Fest in Austin this Friday.
