It&#8217;s not because there are pig-dog men who throw a tantrum any time a woman takes over a rile a man has done. No, it must be because the stars of that film stars only appeared in <em>Entertainment Weekly <\/em>every other week instead of every week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/collider.com\/tiffany-haddish-21-jump-street-awkwafina\/#images\">Collider<\/a> is reporting that the studios is pursuing the incredibly buzzworthy actresses Tiffany Haddish and Awkwafina to star in their gender-swapped\u00a0<strong>21 Jump Street<\/strong> reboot.<\/p>\n<p>Haddish is still riding high after her breakthrough role in 2017&#8217;s <strong>Girls Trip <\/strong>and Awkwafina experienced a breakthrough of her own with roles on <strong>Ocean&#8217;s 8 <\/strong>and <strong>Crazy Rich Asians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Collider states that this time around, the pair will play cops infiltrating a high school, except that Haddish will be playing a teacher and Awkwafina her daughter, who is a student.<\/p>\n<p>Now comes the point in the article where I remind you that Sony has already rebooted <strong>21 Jump Street <\/strong>only six years ago, and that reboot had a sequel that arrived only four years ago. So, no one is clamoring for a redo already. However, this reboot will be written and directed by Rodney Rothman, who wrote the sequel <strong>22 Jump Street <\/strong>and the directors of the previous reboot, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are producing this film.
