They have had an excellent adventure and a bogus journey, but now it is time for Bill S Preston, Esquire, and Ted \u201cTheodore\u201d Logan to face the music.<\/p>\n

The long in development third Bill & Ted<\/strong> film, titled Bill & Ted Face The Music<\/strong>, appears to be starting actual production next month on March 5, according to a notice in the usually reliable Production Weekly. The site additionally notes that filming will take place in both Los Angeles and the Phoenix, Arizona suburb of Tempe. Portions of the original film were filmed in Phoenix and the suburbs of Mesa and Scottsdale.<\/p>\n

Back in the original 1989 film, a time-traveling George Carlin tells the titular teenage California slackers (Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves) that they are destined to write a song that will ultimately unite the world in peace and harmony. The upcoming treequel will check in on the duo as middle-aged guys with families and a phenomenal case of writer’s block as pressure to actually pen the song they are destined to write increases on them.<\/p>\n

Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, who wrote the original two Bill & Ted<\/strong> films, originally started working on this new film back in 2010. Galaxy Quest<\/strong> director Dean Parisot became attached to the project in 2012. Ever since then, it has been slowly working its way towards getting front of the cameras. Last May it was announced that the film was in pre-production, but no expected shooting date was revealed.<\/p>\n

While no official announcement has been made, the 30th anniversary of the release of the original Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure<\/strong> is coming on February 17, so I think I can guess why they might be waiting on releasing the news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
