While it looks like the Marvel Comics superhero shows over on Netflix are winding down, Marvel\u2019s television production arm is gearing up for a new set of shows over on rival streaming service Hulu.<\/p>\n

Marvel Television and Hulu have announced four new adult animated series and one special \u2013 Marvel’s MODOK<\/em>, Marvel\u2019s Hit-Monkey<\/em>, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show<\/em> and Marvel’s Howard the Duck<\/em>. The four series will then converge for the one-off special Marvel’s The Offenders<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The press release description for each series is below, but the thing that stands out to me the most is Patton Oswalt co-writing the MODOK<\/em> series and Kevin Smith co-writing the Howard The Duck<\/em> series.<\/p>\n

Even with Marvel having a presence on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service set to debut this fall, it is not surprising that Marvel is partnering with Hulu for these shows. Once Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox is complete, the company will have a controlling interest in the Hulu streaming service. Disney has stated that the Disney+ service will be more family friendly, so that suggests that these series will be pushing a PG-13 style rating in terms of content.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s M.O.D.O.K. centers around an egomaniacal supervillain with a really big head and a really little body, who struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family. Writers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt will also executive produce along with Jeph Loeb.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Hit-Monkey tells the tale of a wronged Japanese snow monkey, mentored by the ghost of an American assassin, as he cuts a wide swath through the Tokyo underworld in this darkly cinematic and brutally funny revenge saga. Writers Josh Gordon and Will Speck will executive produce along with Jeph Loeb.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Tigra & Dazzler Show is a story about two woke superheroes and best friends, Tigra and Dazzler, as they fight for recognition among powered people who make up the eight million stories in Los Angeles. Writers Erica Rivinoja and Chelsea Handler serve as executive producers along with Jeph Loeb.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Howard The Duck is trapped in a world he never made, but America\u2019s favorite fighting fowl hopes to return home with the help of his unstoppable gal pal Beverly before the evil Dr. Bong can turn him the crispiest dish on the menu. Writers Kevin Smith and Dave Willis will also executive produce along with Jeph Loeb.<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s The Offenders, is a story in which nobody asked them to — and we\u2019d be better off if they didn\u2019t — but MODOK, Dazzler, Tigra, Hit Monkey and Howard the Duck are all forced to team up in order to save the world and certain parts of the Universe. Jeph Loeb will executive produce.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
