Marvel Studios is adding three more titles to the four they are already lining up to produce for Disney\u2019s upcoming streaming app, Disney+.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige announced that new, live action series featuring superheroes Ms Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight will be joining the Disney+ lineup that already includes The Falcon And The Winter Soldier<\/em>, WandaVision<\/em>, Loki<\/em> and Hawkeye<\/em>.<\/p>\n

No additional details such as casting, creative teams or premier dates were announced, though it is most likely that these series will not appear on the stream service until 2021.<\/p>\n

The current Ms. Marvel in the Marvel Comics universe is Kamala Khan, a teenage Muslim girl from Jersey City, NJ who discovers she has shapeshifting powers and is inspired by Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, to become a superhero. She is the first Marvel Muslim character to headline their own comic book and will be the first Muslim character to headline a live action project from the studio.<\/p>\n

She-Hulk is Jessica Walters, a mousey attorney who, after receiving an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner \u2013 aka the incredible Hulk \u2013 finds herself able to turn green and muscular, but without the rage issues her cousin has. Many of the better runs of the character\u2019s comic book focused on her work as a lawyer and how superheroes were affected by the legal system so maybe that will be a direction this series will head in.<\/p>\n

A former Marine turned mercenary, Marc Spector is left for dead in an Egyptian desert but is revived by the god Khonshu to serve as his agent on Earth. In addition to his training as a Marine, he also has supernaturally enhanced strength, endurance and reflexes. Unfortunately, he also has a fragile psyche and has developed multiple personalities from the guilt he harbors over people he killed while a mercenary.<\/p>\n

Over the next couple of years, Marvel is really upping their television output. In addition to the now seven series being developed for Disney+, they are also developing a number of animated series \u2013 including Howard The Duck<\/em>, MODOK<\/em>, Hit-Monkey<\/em>, Dazzler<\/em> and What if -?<\/em> \u2013 for Disney subsidiary Hulu. Meanwhile, Marvel\u2019s Television division is still in production on Runaways<\/em> for Hulu and Cloak & Dagger<\/em> for Freeform while developing Ghost Rider<\/em> and Helstrom<\/em> for 2020 premiers on Hulu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
